TBC Rockford is a part of our local, Rockford community. We believe it's important to integrate our church in this community. We host and participate in a variety of community outreach efforts. Check them out and get involved!

Third week of July

The Welcome Project aims to provide refugee students with an opportunity to develop basic school skill, while intentionally using the Gospel as our guide. Visit our Facebook page!

As part of our core mission, “To Know, Love, and Serve God while helping others do the same,” TBC partners with ministry-focused social service agencies and charitable organizations, including the following:

  • Operation Christmas Child: As a well-known arm of the Samaritan’s Purse global relief organization, OCC is the largest Christmas project of its kind. By collecting and distributing gift-filled shoeboxes to needy children all over the world, this vital ministry demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way.  Since 1993, the OCC project has collected and delivered more than 135 million Christmas shoeboxes to children in more than 150 countries and territories.  https://www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child/

  • Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford: TBC participates annually in their Baby Bottle Fundraiser

  • Alzheimer’s Walk

  • Habitat for Humanity: In 2016 a building team, including TBC members, completed a house for a Burmese refugee family

  • One Body Collaborative: TBC often refers those in need who come to us to One Body, a local “clearing house” of various local organizations that exist to provide practical help  as needed
