College and Career (18-20somethings)

Between High School and "the rest of our life" is a difficult time of making big decisions about college, getting married, having a career and having kids. We meet to enjoy fellowship and to spur each other on in our relationship with God. God must become the focal point in order for us to have the wisdom to make decisions wisely. Come, be challenged, contribute to our fellowship and be encouraged.

ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship)

The adults meet for a time of Adult Bible Fellowship Sunday Mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. For a complete list of studies and locations, please contact the church office, 815/399-2665. 

Women's Ministry

Mission Statement: Our Women's Ministries exist to provide a safe and caring environment where women are encouraged to love God, one another, and themselves-- and to grow in those relationships. 

Bible Studies

The goal of our fall and winter/spring Bible studies is to get women into the Word so that they can relate its truths to their lives. In order to accommodate our women's varying schedules, we offer Bible studies at different times of the day and week. 

Summer Studies

Our summer program is designed to reach out to women of our church as well as their friends/acquaintances. So that our women have choices, our offerings provide opportunity for prayer, Bible study, evangelism, and fellowship. 

Women's ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship)

Our newest ministry provides support for the women of Temple who are going through difficult times. This class for women only offers help, hope, and healing to those who have been wounded by life experiences. 

And provide those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of the spirit of despair. And they will be oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of His splendor. Isaiah 61:3

Growth Groups

We are currently in discussion about a startup date for new Growth Groups for this fall. If you would like to volunteer to host a Growth Group or for additional information please call the church office. 

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Prayer

A time of prayer and praise has been set aside each week, Wednesday evenings, at 4:00 p.m. 

For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them. Matthew 18:2

Primetimers

The Prime Timers organization serves those 55 and older with fellowship and outreach events. We welcome not only our members, but also those who normally don’t attend TBC. In 2009, we had six events that included a one-day trip, dinner/theater, luncheons, and a five-day sightseeing trip. 

The Prime Timers organization functions with a committee of 13 individuals that meet monthly to plan and coordinate all events. The highlight of each year is our fall five-day bus trip. Every year, about 50 of us fill a motor coach in TBC’s lower parking lot to leave on a Monday morning and return Friday evening. We have visited such places as Branson, Mackinac Island, Niagara Falls, Nashville, Louisville, South Dakota/Black Hills, and UP Michigan. 

If you are over 55, then you are a ‘prime’ candidate to become a part of our TBC Prime Timers. We’d love to have you join us at our next event to come and see. You will love it — Guaranteed!
